Here is the missing flowergirl, one of Rebecca's daughters.
Note how her dress matches the bridesmaids', down to the pointed ends on the sleeves.
Here is one of the bridesmaids - the bride's sister, and one
of the bride's daughters. [Her elder son is also here, but he didn't want his photo taken :) ].
Their dresses are made of silk velvet, dyed to the desired
emerald green.
Here I am adjusting the bride's veil. Note how well the bride's
dress fits her. Rebecca has severe scoliosis. One of her hips as well as one of her shoulders
is higher than the other, and her torso is slightly twisted, in spite of surgery when she
was 17 that improved her spinal curvature from 50 degrees to 20. [You can email
Rebecca about my seamstress work if you wish.]
Here is Rebecca being silly - wedding stress you know - but it
an excellent picture of how well the dress fits her. [I also designed the headpiece on the
veil.]
Here is David with his brothers. I sewed the groom's white vest
and all of the groomsmen's vests out of the same silk velvet as Rebecca's dress. [The tuxedos
are rented, however.]
You can also view a wonderful picture of Rebecca's dress, showing the 8 ft. train, at the site of her wedding photographer, Mark Madiera, of Spectralight Photography. It was his "Photo of the Week" for Oct. 20, 2003.
The photos on this page were taken by Rebecca's cousin, Erik Benfield.
